The National Black Lawyers Association named attorney Clyde Guilamo as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Black Criminal Defense Lawyers in Illinois. Membership in this exclusive organization is by invitation only and is limited to the top 40 attorneys under the age of 40 in each state who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers.
Clyde Guilamo nomination comes after 10 years of service as an Assistant State’s Attorney across 3 different counties (Cook, Kankakee, and Dekalb). During that time, Clyde tried over 100 cases and handled over 1000 criminal matters. He became a criminal defense attorney in 2021 and quickly began racking up win after win. This award comes weeks after Clyde obtained a not guilty verdict and won the release of a man who had been in jail for 4 years on an attempt first degree murder. As we continue to see more diversity in the legal profession, Clyde is grateful to be named as a top black criminal defense lawyer.
